Here are some of the most frequently asked question we hear from our customers.
Q: "Medicare told me they would pay for this item/service. How come I can't get it?"
A: This issue is much bigger then people realize. Medicare is going bankrupt and because of the
writing in the law from the 60's they can not
deny certain items. So they have to make the medical documentation requirements so extreme that it is impossible or nearly impossible to get from the Doctors.
This can also mean that the labor that is spent trying to get this paperwork may far exceed the rate
Medicare will pay for the item. It is highly recommended to not use Medicare if possible.
Q: "Can I purchase this equipment now and bill my insurance later?"
A: Yes you can, as long as you bill in a timely matter. One issue though is if you do not have the proper medical documentation
at the time of service you will most likely be denied.
Q: "Why do I have to sign and fill out so much paperwork?"
A: Accreditation - We are required to maintain high quality service as well as careful documentation of services and equipment you
receive. While the paperwork can be somewhat tedious, we assure you it is for your
benefit. Since we bill Medicare for our patients we are required by law to be accredited.
Q: "I have a prescription from my doctor, will my insurance pay for it?"
A: Not always. It must be covered under the patients benefits from the insurance. If it is there can sometimes be several requirements
set forth by the insurance company.
